The NDIS Navigator helps parents and carers to understand and navigate the NDIS. The NDIS Navigator can support families to apply for, and access NDIS funded supports for their child, prepare for plan reviews and find out how to raise issues about their child’s plan with a provider. It is our aim to build your capacity and empower you as the family and carers of our students towards navigating the NDIS independently with confidence.

 More specifically, this role includes; meeting with parents and carers about any NDIS queries or support, liaising between school staff and external therapy staff, gathering information and collating evidence to support plan application/reviews (including school letters of support), assisting carers to write ‘Carer Impact Statements’ where needed, and supporting families with post school options for students in their final years of schooling. I engage with regular training to ensure that I have the most up-to-date information about the ever-changing NDIS, so that your focus can stay on your child and their needs.
