Allied Health
The Allied Health team at Croydon SDS includes Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists, a Physiotherapist and a School Nurse. These team members work with classroom staff to meet the physical, sensory, communication, mealtime and health needs that our students experience at school. Our main goal is to ensure that all students can access the curriculum, and we do this by:
- Assessing and monitoring student skills and health needs,
- Working closely with classroom staff about strategies that could help students engage further in their learning,
- Consulting with parents and external therapists to make sure helpful strategies are shared across home, school and community.
If you have any questions about your child’s physical, sensory, communication, mealtime or health needs, please speak with your classroom teacher about meeting with an Allied Health team member.
